Frequently Asked Questions
Does my computer need to stay on?
Yes, the bridge must be running for remote access to work. You can run it on any computer on your network - an old laptop, a Raspberry Pi, or a desktop that stays on 24/7.
Is my data safe?
Absolutely. The bridge uses end-to-end encryption (TLS 1.3), authenticated WebSocket tunnels, and only sends data when you request it. It's also open source so you can audit the code yourself.
Will this slow down my internet?
No. The bridge only uses bandwidth when you're actively using SoLoPrint. Idle usage is less than 1 KB/s. Viewing a camera feed uses about 50-100 KB/s.
Which printers are supported?
All Bambu Lab printers (A1, A1 mini, P1, X1 series), OctoPrint, and Klipper/Moonraker. The bridge auto-discovers them on your network.
Can I use this at a makerspace or print farm?
Yes! The bridge supports multiple printers and is perfect for makerspaces, schools, and small print farms. For 10+ printers, contact us about enterprise options.
