Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about setting up and running your cloud command center.

What is SoLoPrint?+

SoLoPrint is a cloud-based command center for your 3D printers. It unifies remote monitoring, cloud slicing, and deep inventory tracking into a single, mobile-first dashboard, letting you run your printers from anywhere with confidence.

What is "Filament Intelligence"?+

Filament Intelligence is our core material tracking engine. SoLoPrint tracks your filament inventory down to the gram, provides low-filament alerts, and actively verifies if you have enough material before a print starts to prevent wasted plastic.

What 3D printer firmwares are supported?+

SoLoPrint acts as a universal bridge, natively supporting OctoPrint, Klipper (Moonraker), and Bambu Lab printers (via LAN mode) all from the same unified interface.

Do I need to be on the same network to monitor my prints?+

No! SoLoPrint safely connects your local hardware to the cloud via our secure Rust-based bridge. You can view your dashboard and live camera feeds from anywhere in the world on any device.

How does frictionless Cloud Slicing work?+

We've integrated the industry-leading OrcaSlicer engine directly into our cloud. You can upload an STL, configure your settings, and slice the file right in your browser without needing to install specialized desktop software.

Is there latency on the camera feeds?+

We use proprietary WebRTC tunnels that bypass standard HTTP buffering. This delivers near-zero latency, fluid 60FPS video streams securely from your printer directly to your browser.

How does the Print Farm Queue automate tasks?+

For power users and print farms, our intelligent dispatch sweeps your fleet for idle machines and automatically matches queued jobs based on the exact nozzle size and material loaded on the printer.

Can I import models from other websites?+

Yes. Our centralized URL importer allows you to paste a link directly from MakerWorld or Printables, and our cloud will instantly scrape and import the geometry into your library.

Can I still send raw terminal commands?+

Absolutely. Power users still have access to a raw G-Code terminal for Klipper and OctoPrint machines, allowing custom macro execution and real-time log tracing.

Is my local Bambu Lab printer data secure?+

Yes. Our integration utilizes native Bambu LAN mode via MQTT. We pull telemetry and route G-Code completely locally, bypassing the external Bambu Cloud entirely.
